opular television actress Samira Khan Mahi has won the prestigious crown of 'Miss Universe Bangladesh 2026'. She was announced as the ultimate winner in a grand and glamorous event held at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) auditorium on the Purbachal Expressway in Dhaka on Saturday (November 7) evening. A press release from the organizers confirmed that she will proudly represent Bangladesh in the upcoming international Miss Universe pageant.

Emotional Moments and Crowning There was immense tension and excitement in the entire ICCB auditorium right before the announcement of the final winner. As soon as she heard her name being called as the winner, Samira Khan Mahi was overwhelmed with emotion and joy. Following the announcement, last year's 'Miss Universe Bangladesh' winner, Tanjia Zaman Mithila, came forward with a smile and placed the glorious crown on the new winner's head. After the crowning, the two beauties warmly embraced each other in an emotional atmosphere. As they walked the runway together on the stage, the audience erupted in thunderous applause, filling the entire hall with cheers.

Celebrity Presence and Outfits

During the event, Mahi was seen wearing a dazzling champagne-gold mermaid gown. This eye-catching off-shoulder dress featured heavy and intricate stonework. On the other hand, the outgoing winner, Tanjia Zaman Mithila, wore a beautiful light blue and silver gown, with shoulder designs resembling bird wings. Popular film actress Toma Mirza was also present on the stage during this joyous moment of the winner announcement.

Representing Bangladesh on the Global Stage

The organizers stated that the 75th 'Miss Universe International' competition will be held in Puerto Rico, a region bordering the Atlantic Ocean, starting from November 11. Samira Khan Mahi will represent Bangladesh on this grand global stage.

In an immediate reaction, Mahi shared, "My parents told me, 'Go, conquer the world'. I ask for everyone's prayers so that I can return after conquering the world and bringing glory to Bangladesh. If I win, Bangladesh wins."

It is worth noting that Tanjia Zaman Mithila represented Bangladesh in the 74th Miss Universe pageant in 2025. She competed fiercely with contestants from 122 countries and secured a spot in the top 30, which marked Bangladesh's first-ever placement on the Miss Universe stage. She also brought immense pride to the country by securing the top position in the People's Choice category. Following Mithila's success, it is now Mahi's turn to represent Bangladesh on the 'Miss Universe' global stage.
